Kid Pix Introduction

1.   Click on Kid Pix

Before we begin, notice the face known as the undo button and the eraser.   Use these to correct your mistakes

.

  • Click on the Wacky Pencil tool.
  • Choose the widest line and a shade of blue.
  • Write your first name in the upper left corner.

 

  • Click on the pattern of dots – the second square.  
  • Choose the third widest line.
  • Write your last name under your first name.
  • Choose the line tool.  
  • Choose a shade of red.  
  • Make a box around your name.

  • In the lower left corner, use the square tool to make a rectangle.
  • Choose the paint bucket and a material for the inside of the rectangle.

  • In the upper right corner, use the circle tool to make a circle.   (hint: to make a perfect circle hold down the SHIFT key before clicking and dragging to form the circle.)
  • Choose a solid color and   a checkered pattern to fill the circle.

  • Find a funny icon from the wacky brush and place it in the middle of your screen.
  • Click on the stamp tool and click on a funny stamp.   Before you put it on your screen, lets see what happens when we press the SHIFT and OPTION keys.   Now place it on your screen while pressing the OPTION.
  • Use the typewriter tool and write:   My Kid PixIntroduction.  
  • Try a different size and font.

Kid Pix Extras

  • Select a new stamp set – Goodies, new stamp set
  • Edit the stamps – double click on the stamp
  • Import a graphic – you can use a picture taken with the digital camera or from the Internet and load it to Kid Pix by going to File, Import a Graphic
  • Saving – Go to File and Save a Picture DO NOT SAVE IN MY PIX
